Magic at the Skate Park

Every once in a while, you capture a moment that feels like pure magic. This was one of those instances I asked Evan if I could take some photos of him doing his thing at the skate park - to my total and complete surprise, he agreed, and so, of course, Michael and Ellena came along. Watching Evan confidently carve through the park, Michael cheering him on, and Ellena twirling in her own world nearby, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for these fleeting, beautiful moments.

The way Evan’s skateboard wheels clicked against the pavement, the laughter echoing off the ramps, and the golden light that wrapped around my kids as they played are the memories that make up the fabric of our family story. There’s something so special about capturing kids (especially the big kids) in their element, and the skatepark is the perfect place for those spontaneous, joy-filled shots. It’s not just about the tricks and the stunts; it’s about the pure freedom and happiness that spills out when they’re having fun.
