Thoughtful Wedding Client Gifts: What I Include in My Personalized Welcome Boxes as a Southern Maryland Photographer
As a Southern Maryland wedding photographer specializing in intimate and creative weddings, I know how much thought and care goes into every detail of our client’s special day. That’s why I love to surprise our clients with thoughtful gifts throughout their wedding journey. From personalized wedding welcome boxes to curated items that add an extra touch of excitement to their big day, my goal is to make their wedding experience even more memorable.
Whether couples are getting married in Southern Maryland, Washington DC, or Northern Virginia, these gifts are just one way I go the extra mile for my couples.
I typically send two gifts.
The first is a welcome box. Included in the box is a note from Denniss and I expressing how excited we are to capture their wedding and either an instant photograph of their engagement session if it has already happened or a 4x6 print from their engagement session. If I send the gift prior to their engagement session, then I will typically place these in the mail or give them at the actual session.

In the makeup bag, I will typically include products the couple can use the night before or the morning of the wedding such as:
Cotton Gloves to be worn over night, with a good hand cream/cuticle oil so those close up photographs of hands are picture perfect! Please note - cuticle oil is better than cream for gel manicures.
Terracotta Clay flower pot (made in Italy) with seed packet that reads “Let Love Grow”. I make the little label “rain or shine” with this DYMO Embossing Label Maker.
Earrings that say “BRIDE”
Accessories for the Bride to wear at her Bachelorette Party like this headband/veil combo that reads, “Bride to Be”
Customized gifts for the Bride and Groom with the wedding date engraved on them. I especially like to give a customized keychains.
A small soy candle.
Resin hair clips I made during one of my ADHD “new hobby” adventures. Here is a similar clip to what I include.
Post Wedding Client Thank You Gifts
After the wedding, I also send another gift. This is usually a bunch of 4x6 prints of their wedding gallery in some sort of keep sake box. Right now, I am loving glass photo boxes.
I will also include a flash drive of their photographs.
