My Cousin’s Micro Wedding in Lake Lure, NC

My cousin France's wedding in Lake Lure, NC, was beautiful. Everything about the day was perfect, from the stunning scenery to the excellent company. It was so lovely to see my aunt and uncle, as well as my other two cousins, Megan and Hanna, all gathered together to celebrate France's big day.

One of the highlights of the wedding was getting to meet Cody's family. They were all so welcoming and just as excited about the wedding as we were. The love and support that everyone showed for Frances and Cody was heartwarming. Due to a last-minute issue with their original venue, Frances and Cody rented a beautiful cabin up in the mountains. It turned out to be the perfect location for their micro wedding and added to the charm and intimacy of their wedding.

I attended as a guest, but I brought my camera along. Here are a few of my favorite shots. I have to admit, some of them (OK - most of them were taken when I was just so happy for my cousin (and Goddaughter) and so full of emotion - that I, in full transparency - wasn’t paying attention to my camera settings, and then later, I was more than a little drunk, so they were not my best technical shots. I’m sharing these because I love my cousin and I think they’re beautiful.

Overall, Frances' wedding was a day that I will never forget. It was full of love, laughter, and family, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. It was also a day that I realized, I wanted to shoot weddings. If you’d like me to shoot your wedding, I promise I won’t get drunk, but I can’t promise my eyes won’t water with emotion when seeing you walk down the isle and marry the love of your life.
